LinkedIn actually adds a ‘seems like AI slop’ button

The Verge·July 30, 2026

LinkedIn is introducing a new feature that allows users to report posts that seem to be generated by artificial intelligence, as part of its efforts to reduce AI-generated content on the platform. The feature includes a button that lets users flag posts as "Seems like AI slop", aiming to decrease the volume of such content. According to AI detector Pangram, 41 percent of longform LinkedIn posts were found to be completely generated by AI. LinkedIn's chief product officer Hari Srinivasan has stated that addressing AI-generated content is a top priority for the company.
